Tiling & Driveways!

The improved weather this week has meant that they have been able to pour our driveway crossover:

Hopefully, they can get the rest of it done tomorrow before the rain returns.

The carpenters where back yesterday to finish a few things off and finally install our Home Theatre doors:

We are happy with how they look, and do not restrict much of the light into the entry way.

The tilers started on the main floor tiling today. Most of the tiles are laid, with just the grouting to be completed. They have also started our kitchen splashback tiles, and we are happy with how they look in contrast to the kitchen cupboards and floor tiles. They can then complete the balcony, and start on the entry and alfresco, which will all be done in the same tile. Here are the pics:

The roof guys also came back to fix up a few small issues, as well as install our whirlybird on the ground floor roof.

The plan for the rest of the week is to complete the rest of the driveway, with the painters to come back to complete the external work and the electricians to complete the fit-off.

Further to our architrave stair issue, I have spoken with our SS and he has said that it is more of a structural issue between the two floors. We discussed some alternatives, but decided to keep it as is, to avoid any further cracking in the future.

Cheers,

CMET
